3. Precautions for Installation of High Temperature Radar Level Gauge:
Due to incorrect installation, significant false echoes may occur
The sensor should not be too close to the container wall.
If the sensor is too close to the container, it will generate strong false echoes. Adhesive media, rivets, screws, or welds can cause false reflections. So the sensor must maintain a certain distance from the container wall.
The sensor should be perpendicular to the surface of the medium.
If the sensor is not aligned with the surface of the medium during installation, the measurement signal will weaken. The axis of the radar sensor must be aligned vertically with the surface of the medium.
If there is a ladder, bracket or stirring blade inside the tank during measurement, the instrument will produce false backlash, which will affect the measurement. Therefore, in practical applications, these obstacles should be avoided or a refractive plate should be used to refract the false signal away.
Devices inside the container, such as ladders, can cause false echoes. When designing the installation location, no device should obstruct the operation of radar signals.
The bracket inside the container can cause strong false echoes. The use of refractive plates can effectively prevent false reflections.
